In the Summertime, when the weather is hot (and so are you!). Imagine more than 100 singles in shorts, flowered shirts, flip-flops and other island attire when we gather for an outdoor/covered patio party. Come join us at the new Mad Mark's Mystic Pizza for our wild and crazy- fun "Parrot Head Party."

This is going to be a Fun, Fun Fun event at a new place for us to party. The team over at Mad Mark's Mystic Pizza (the new restaurant at the site of the old Alumni Club) is waiting to serve us. They are going to have some great drink specials and great music for us to dance to. You just have to see this place! It has been re-decorated and the theme is neon 60's. Wild and crazy. Peace man.

We will be partying both inside and outside at the Tiki Bar. Yep...wanna be outside, the doors are 8 feet away and there is a HUGE bar outside. There will be several singles groups joining in the party besides ours, so you don't ever know just who you'll meet. The dancing to one of our favorite DJs will take place inside.

So... grab your Hawaiian shirts, shorts, flip flops and parrots and come on out for this relaxed, laid back dance party. Everybody will be given a lei or beads upon entering. There will be some cool tropical decor to enhance the party and the music will be geared to summertime party dancing. This special event will feature a luscious dinner buffet of Pizzas, Rigatoni with Meat Sauce, Caesar Salad and Dessert. Yum-bo till you're numbo! Invite your friends, and your friend's friends, but be sure to come on out and join us and we'll party this summer away. Very casual island attire. Park in the lot.

And what's your cost for all this? You pay $15 cash at the door with our group's advance reservation coupon or $18 cash as an unregistered walk-in (but please take a minute to register). Enjoy a lively dinner party at Corner 41 Bar and Grill, a new and inviting restaurant in Chicago’s Lincoln Square (1 ½ blocks north of Irving Park Road). Meet and mingle with single friends old and new in welcoming surroundings of dark wood and exposed brick, with floor-to-ceiling windows that open to the street.

Corner 41 has only been open a few months, but has garnered some excellent early reviews. This restaurant serves up hearty and well-prepared meat, fish and American barbecue classics in large portions.

Your evening begins with a cocktail hour (cash bar), where you can get to know lots of other singles. Later, adjourn to the restaurant’s dining room for a seated dinner party. Choose from six of the house’s unique and sumptuous entrees:

• Chicken Vesuvio - Half a Chicken sautéed in Olive Oil, White Wine, garlic and Spices, with Potato Wedges and Peas
• Grilled Lobster & Crab Meat Burger with a Honey Citrus Glaze on a Brioche Bun with Red Onion and Sweet Potato Fries
• Grilled Swordfish Steak with Fennel Lemon Curry Relish served on a Bed of Veggies
• Highly Awarded Baby-Back Ribs (full slab) with Signature Secret Sauce
• Roast Lamb Chops with Rosemary, over a Bed of Mashed Potatoes
• Grilled Salmon with our Citrus Honey Glaze with Tomato Fennel Relish over Veggies

Dinner also includes soup or crisp dinner salad, and appropriate sides. Your evening is $40 for your complete dinner, taxes and tips for advance reservations. New Single Friends and Gourmet Connections combine to host for a fun trip down memory lane with a duel singles event featuring miniature golf followed by a mouth-watering Greek dinner, followed by live music.

First off, join New Single Friends for an outing to one of the earliest miniature golf courses in the area, the very popular Novelty Golf at the corner of Devon and Lincoln Avenues in Lincolnwood. Enjoy a competitive round (or just putter around) at this 18-hole retro gem with all the fun features, from knights to dinosaurs, of the miniature golf courses circa 1950.

This uniquely campy course includes a Statue of Liberty, Giant Elephant and Frankenstein along with the usual windmills and water hazards to challenge your luck and skill. Meet us at 5:30 p.m. We'll assign you to a mixed team. Those participating in this part of the party are asked to bring $8.50 cash.

Whether you join us for the Singles Mini-Golf Open or not, meet, mingle and socialize with other singles as Gourmet Connections hosts a dinner party at a cozy hidden gem restaurant nearby, Psistaria Greek Taverna.

This cozy charmer attracts discerning north suburban diners with its unique flavorful takes on Greek specialty dishes. The restaurant has an inviting “updated” traditional ambiance. After dinner, there is live Greek music to serenade you.

Join us in the bar area just off the patio for cocktails (cash bar) and conversation at 7:00. The dinner seating will be promptly at 8:00 p.m. Be sure to RSVP to make sure you get a seat. Your choices for dinner entrées include tasty selections:

• Veal Skirt Steak (12 oz.) with Herbs, Broiled to Perfection
• Shrimps and Scallops - Broiled Shrimp and Scallops in a Special Light White Wine Sauce, served over a Bed of Rice
• Stuffed Chicken Breast “Spanaki” - Broiled Boneless Breast of Chicken, stuffed with a Special Blend of Spinach and Feta Cheese
• Lamb Chops – a Pound of Thin-cut Loin Lamb Chops, Lightly Seasoned and Char Grilled to Perfection
• Grilled Salmon – Thick-cut Red Salmon Seasoned and Broiled to Perfection
• Fresh Whitefish – Broiled with Oregano and Lemon
