New Single Friends and Gourmet Connections combine forces for a fun duel singles event featuring miniature golf followed by cocktails and a mouth-watering Italian dinner.

First, join New Single Friends for an outing to the popular miniature golf course Pioneer Park Mini-Golf in Pioneer Park (on the southeast corner of Harlem and Touhy Avenues). Step back into your childhood, or at least your teen years, to enjoy a competitive round (or just putter around) this 18-hole synthetic-turfed gem.

The Pioneer Park course includes water hazards, holes with jumps and other challenges to luck and skill. Meet us at 5:00 p.m. and we will assign you to a mixed team. Those wishing to participate in this part of the party are asked to bring $8 cash.

Whether you participate in the Singles Mini-Golf Open or not, meet, mingle and socialize with other singles as Gourmet Connections hosts a cocktail party and dinner at one of Senny's favorite casual Italian restaurants, Graziano's. This charmer attracts both neighborhood and North Shore diners with its delicious pasta and Italian and American specialty dishes. The restaurant has an inviting ambiance that blends the contemporary with colorful vintage posters. (Warning - be prepared for plentiful portions that may yield another meal or two).

Your evening begins with an hour-long cocktail party followed by a seated dinner. Your choices for dinner entrées include:

• Wood-Roasted Chicken with Roasted Potatoes and Pan Juices
• Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp in a Roasted Garlic Tomato Sauce
• Grilled Pork Chops with Fresh Spinach and Mashed Potatoes
• Pan-Fried Walleye Pike with a Citrus/White Wine/Butter Sauce and Asparagus
• Veal Marsala - Pan-seared Veal with Mushrooms in a Marsala Wine Glaze
• Specialty "Risotto of the Day" with Hand-beaten Arborio Rice and All the Sauce and Fixings
• Pecan-Crusted Grouper with Lemon Butter Sauce and Asparagus

Also included is your choice of soup or salad, plus coffee or tea.

Your dinner party is $37 for members and $39 for non-members and guests for dinner, taxes and tips for advance registrations. Walk-ups will also be accepted at the door for $39. Summer casual attire. Park in the lot.

Come on out to an exciting themed Benefit Party and Dance hosted by Gourmet Connections and New Single Friends for their members and friends at the attractive Serenity Lounge in Wood Dale. A portion of the proceeds from this terrific event will be donated to the Red Cross, to assist that wonderful organization in their flood relief work for the recent victims in Iowa, Illinois and Missouri.

To support our friends along the river, we are hosting a "Black and White Night" themed party. Your exciting evening features drink specials, a substantial appetizer/ light supper buffet, and a DJ for dancing. Everybody is encouraged to dress in black or white attire or both. Note that this party is NOT black tie but is instead dressy casual attire or better. Admission for the entire event is a mere $10 per person at the door. This party is open to all members, guests and their friends.

Enjoy a competitive round (or just putter around) this 18-hole synthetic-turfed gem. Rated as one of the top mini-golf courses in the entire Chicago area, Congo River includes unique water falls and hazards and a variety of Indiana Jones-style challenges to luck and skill. Meet us at 4:30 p.m. and we will assign you to a mixed team. Those wishing to participate in this part of the party are asked to bring $9 cash.

Whether you participate in the Singles Mini-Golf Open or not, meet, mingle and socialize with other singles as Gourmet Connections hosts a dinner party at one of the top Italian restaurants in the northwest suburbs, Amore Mio. This cozy charmer attracts discerning diners with its delicious pasta and Italian specialty dishes. The restaurant has an inviting ambiance. After dinner, the party will move to a nearby nightspot for dancing to a live band.

There is no pre-dinner cocktail hour, so the dinner seating will be promptly at 6:30 p.m. Your choices for dinner entrées include:

• Linguine with Sautéed Shrimp and Broccoli in an Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Garlic Sauce
• Pollo Naturale - Chicken Breast with Mixed Vegetables in an Olive Oil and Garlic Sauce with Pasta
